Meal planning is the number one practice that transitioned us from the Standard American Diet (SAD) to PALEO to The Autoimmune Protocol (AIP). Once you have your meal prep and batch-cooking routine mastered, suddenly the AIP starts to feel easier and not as impossible as when you first begin. Nutritious meals come naturally, you learn to relax more in the kitchen, your creativity begins to come to light and true healing will begin to shine through.

While meal planning and batch-cooking have made this transition much easier, that does not mean that going from SAD to PALEO to AIP (cold-turkey) was easy. No, no, far from it! However, putting these practices into place and having another person to help is phenomenal.
